Description
Initially, the beer was brewed by Roberto Giannarelli at home using minimal tools needed. After initial successes Roberto decided to invest and finally crown his dream shifting production to the historic former barn renovated ad hoc to accommodate new machinery and definitely give rise to La Petrognola Brewery. Between 2012 and 2013, the transfer takes place to the new site a few meters away from the previous one, but with very different spaces and possibilities for development.

33 cl bottle, 6.5%. Brownish color, slightly hazed, with a bubbly tan head. Nose is spicy, aroma has some balsamic notes and a herbal spicyness, with a nice hops balance, yeast, maybe licorice. Taste is smooth and slightly sweet with a soft bitter balance. medium bodied, quite carbonated. Finish is spicy and a bit sticky. Can feel the alcool on the tongue as it warms up, it’s liquor-like. Feels somewhat raw, but it’s enjoyable.

75 cl bottle, 5.5%. Nice amber colour, big offwhite head, slightly hazed, fizzy look. Impressive nose of candy orange. Aroma has candy orange, ginger, with a balsamic mentha thing. Spalt gives an earthy feel, with soft grassy hops, taste is a bit flat and sweetish. Body is medium and highly carbonated, fairly dry finish. Peculiar perfumed one.

33cl bottle, 5%, 2.90€. Peculiar bottle shape. Cloudy pale yellow, fizzy, quickly reducing white head. Citrusy soft-drink nose, carbonated. Aroma is spicy, probably coriander, floral, citrusy, grainy, yeast. Taste is sweetish to flat, but fresh. Highly carbonated. Medium bodied, dry finish with some yeast. A bit weird but not bad.
