Bottle Pours out a dark amber brown topped with a sand head. Aroma was of spice, pit fruit, and some sweetness. Taste was more of the sweet malts and pit fruit along with a nice spice. Thanks Toby

Batch #3 Good brown-creamcoloured head, irregular, over deep brown beer with ruby sheen. Dry-ish chocolate cookies aromas, wood, hints at lactic acid; chocolate and coffee coming out more in force once it warms up a bit, carrying the beer away from the initial Oud Bruin impression. Coffee, very roasted to burnt flavours, near porterish. Mild bitterness, bitter chocolate and more wood, felt. Very dry MF, scarce & severe. Aftertaste carries some sweetness. Severe, but finally pretty pleasing beer. A success, even maybe only for the connoisseurs. Many thanks, Uncle J!

Bottle 65cl. @ Chriso’s pre GBBF Shindig ’09.Clear medium to light dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, keller, old wood. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090801]

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye marked June 2009. Pours with a white head and a clear golden body. Aroma of florals, table sugar, brown sugar, flowers and fruit. Taste is sweet up front and then slightly tart with notes of cherries. Medium carbonation.

At the ’Beer Temple’, Amsterdam, 28-10-09 Nice sourness on the nose, colour is amber with white head. Once again seems a decent beer, its a little fruity and there is some yeast, taste is a lazy sourness, actually I’m geting a tad bored of this beer the more I drink it. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov13 3.1

(Draught) Poured amber and hazy with medium sized white head. Spices, sourness and fruitiness were in the aroma. Palate was almost full bodied and dry. Flavours were sourness, malts, bitterness, fruitiness and hops, Aftertaste was of sourness and malts.

October ’09 O-Town Throwdown, courtesy of BA trade. Batch #6 Pours golden, cloudy, thick white head. Aroma fruity, light hoppy notes, brett. Flavor, brett fruits, possibly some white grapes and banana, hints of hops, and a sweet fruit finish.

Sample from tap at Beer Temple. Light hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus and Brett, very Lambic-like. Flavour is light sweet, citrus, some sour funk, followed by a firm bitterness that lingers. Light to medium bodied. Not my kind of saison..

Bottle at Chriso pre-GBBF tasting 09. Hazy brown colour, beige head. It’s a Belgian brune. OK. But it’s a burnt Belgian brune and that lets it down somewhat. 2.6/5.0 Rerate on tap at The Grove Huddersfield. Rich choc dubbel. Absolutely fine. Bit sweet bit over carbd but tasty enough

Courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours murky amber with copper edges and off white head. The aroma is plums, prunes, apricots and oxidized cherry compote. The taste is much the same with thick dark fruity esters of ripe plums, cherries, prunes and red apples. Yum. The dark fruitiness blends together creating a pleasing taste.
