Handpull cask at the Townhouse, Ely. Amber/gold, with a thick white head and good lacing. Malty aroma, toast with biscuit spread and orange peel make a cautious appearance. Sweet malty taste, but itโ€™s got a bit of a sour backwash. Weird sour woody-malty finish. Not as sold on this one but itโ€™s passable and has some genuinely nice qualities. Just unbalanced.

Cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge on 14th September 2016. Hazy amber with virtually no head or lacing. A pungent aroma with spiciness. Bittersweet in-mouth. Fruity finish with caramel malts. A hint of โ€™colaโ€™ flavour, interesting, but detracts from the overall taste. Medium-bodied with a lightish mouthfeel.

Cask @ Olde Fighting Cocks, St Albans. Deep clear golden with a thin head. Pale ale with a mild floralness amongst its dry hoppy-fruity character.

Handpull cask at the Townhouse, Ely. Mahogany, clear with creamy off-white head. Chocolate malt and dark berries in the aroma. Simple sweet malty taste, and none the worse for it. Thereโ€™s some earthy hop bitterness in the finish, which leads to some unbalanced sourness in the aftertaste. All in all a very good basic malt bomb.
