Gravity dispense at Brew Wharf, massive thanks to Ang for the pour, 27/03/13. Very dark mahogony brown/light black with a thin bubbly tan head. Nose carries roast malt, molasses, touch of coffee, sweet vanilla notes. Taste comprises roast malt, light dusting of cocoa powder, dark fruits, molasses, carmalised sugars, sweet nutty tones tempered by dry wood notes. Medium bodied, moderate to soft carbonation, dryish finish. I enjoyed this one more than the base beer, a little sweeter, less lactose.

Gravity dispense at Brew Wharf, massive thanks to Ang for the pour, 27/03/13. Very dark mahogony brown/light black with a thin head which clears to the edge and leaves a film. Nose carries roast malt, molasses, chocolate, good whiff of Jamiesons but not overpowering. Taste comprises roast malt, light chocolate, woody notes, Jamieson whisky, dark fruits, molasses, caramelised sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Well balanced whisky stout, quite interesting to get the whisky notes on a 4.1% stout - enjoyable stuff. Decent.

Taste comprises roast malt, light dusting of cocoa powder, dark fruits, molasses, a little sweeter than the base beer but I wasn’t picking up the vanilla. Medium bodied, moderate to soft carbonation, dryish finish. A decent drinkable stout but I struggled to pick up on the vanilla flavour.

Gravity cask at the Brew Wharf, London - many thanks to Ang! While I did enjoy this one, it was my least favorite of the three Erebus treatments I tried on the night. The beer has some tangy wood notes, mellow cocoa, light earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Hints of roasted malts in the finish, light vinous, dry woody tang, some spruce tree, restrained bitter earth. Fair.

Cask at Brew Wharf, London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a fine, off-white foam cream head. Big raw grass and pine in the nose, some lightly toasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with gritty pine bitterness, light earth, wood, toasted pale malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Rich, resinous pine and oily grass to finish, some bitter grapefruit as well. Nice, though the hops weigh a bit heavy at times.

Cask at Brew Wharf, London. Pours clear, dark red-brown with a frothy, beige foam head. Lots of ashy roast in the nose, some dry chocolate, earth. Light to medium sweet flavor with dry roast, bitter cocoa, burnt earth and hefty ash. Light bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Dry, bitter baking cocoa finish with more ashy roasted malts. Good.

Gravity cask at Brew Wharf, London - big thanks to Ang! Pours brown with a small, bubbly tan head - essentially the same appearance as the base beer. Nice oaky wood character in here, adds nice nuance to the beer. Mellow roasted malts, much less ashy than the base beer. Faint earthy bitterness. Very nice overall. Well-rounded woodiness, some torched wood bitterness, light dryness. My favorite of the Erebus treatments. Very drinkable.
