Hand-pulled pint in the Jewel of the Crown (Spoons), Bridgnorth on Sunday 21st August 2022. White head on a clean and clear light amber body. Decent blend, little more malty than hoppy, nice change from citrussy beers; this is more like a traditional UK bitter using older established hops that give a balanced semi-fruity bitterness which sit nicely with the malty base.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A dark straw coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; floral aroma; strong floral taste with a sharp pithy bitterness and an oily feel in the mouth; then a well hopped finish with resins and bitter citrus tastes. This certainly wakes up the tastebuds!

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a reddish hue and a lasting bubbly off-white head? The aroma is roasty malt, dank, piney hops. The flavour is strong bitter, with a super dry, smooth, dry spicy, light floral, light citrus hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
