Cask at the Bridge, Burton. Black with a cream head; but a brilliant raspberry red when held to the light; aroma of espresso coffee; thin when first sipped, with some red fruit, but developing a rich dry chocolate finish with a long lasting bitterness. Excellent.

Cask at the Bridge Inn, Burton. Amber with a creamy head; aroma of stewed vegetables and manure, but not in a bad way; fruity with some honey flavour; short but strong bitter finish.

Cask. Yellowish orange colour, with small big bubbled head. Aroma is fruity and flowery hops along with some mild earthyness. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite basic.

Cask. Deep rubyish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is wood, some roasted malts and quite fruity and nectary notes. Flavour is wooden, fruity, grassy and some caramel.

Half pint hand pulled at Turf Tavern in Oxford. March 08 Gold Medal Ales from the brewery. Golden body with a white lacing patch on the surface. Light floral smell followed by a smooth and dry hoppy taste added a touch of honey. Short bitter end (17.03.2008).

Courtesy of Fishingnet. Pours brown-ish orange with haze and thin off white head. The aroma is pungent with spice, tartness, leaning toward tannin mixed with funk, urinal port-o-potty cake and sweet tart sugariness. Interesting. The taste seems influenced by yeasty spice, sweet tartness dipped in funk all mixed with sweet malts and mild noble hops. Not much else going on.

[i] [b] Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival Feb’ 08 [/i] [/b] Poured dark brown with little head to speak of. Aroma touch sour but some fruits coming off as well. Tasted sourish and fruity with surprising amount of bitterness, but then it is a bitter masquerading as a mild, it was one of my least favourites at the event and really didn’t strike me as being anything like a proper mild.

Slightly hazy orange-colored beer, small white head. Strong flowery-honeyish aroma. Decently malty, honeyish flavor with hints of orange peels. Good flowery hoppy aftertaste. Standard bitter/golden ale elements, but well made.

Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2007. A hazy golden beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity. The flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of fruit, leading to a slightly bitter finish.
