Description
Burton Bridge Brewery is a traditional style brewery that produces a wide range of beers.

We have stillaging and cooling equipment, will organise a selection of beers for you to approve and set it all up

For something a little different ask if we have our vintage Morris dray available. It has been on display at festivals and was used as a hearse for a funeral.

Mid-2024 the ownership of the Burton Bridge brewery has changed hands in a merger which also ensures the future of the town’s Heritage brewery.

The deal sees Burton Bridge come under the umbrella of leisure company Planning Solutions, which previously ran the National Brewery Centre in Burton, prior to Molson Coors’ decision to close it.

Handpull cask at the White Horse, Harborne. Light to mid-gold, clear with a small film ofoff-white head. Lightly Buton-y smell, but fresher with prominent grassy hop and some citrus oil. Bittersweet taste with a drying and bitter finish. Clean as a whistle. Bitterness lingers long after the sip is gone. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Impressive.

Cask. Dark gold with smooth off-white head. Toasty malts, hint of citrus and a slightly abrasive bitter finish although its nice to have a gold with some punch to it. Average mouthfeel for a cask, was expecting more smoothness.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark brown with moderate sized beige head, recedes down to nice creamy top with lacing. Aroma of sharp blackberries, roasted malts, herby hops, maybe some yeast. Taste has a nice balance to it, sweet tangy blackberries and a bitter roastiness, some coffee and dark chocolate notes. Hops get a bit lost. Light to medium bodied, slightly on the thin side. Overall I found this an enjoyable fruity stout.

Bottle of 'Festive Christmas Porter' which redirected me here. Santa is well pissed off with such label swapping. Pours a dark brown. small beige head, minor retention. Aroma of liquorice, cherries, chocolate, toast. Interesting. Taste is light roast, chocolate, mixed dried fruit and cherries, minerals. Moderate roasty bitterness at the end. Light bodied so loses a bit of depth. A bit mixed but overall I enjoyed it.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a cloudy dark gold, with big white head, settles to a nice top. Aroma of lemon cheesecake, vinegar, flora, hint of spice. Taste is light yeast, biscuit, grass, lemon, berries, moderate bitterness. Nice creamy mouthfeel. A really interesting brew with a few nods towards the Belgium blonde style but has a distinction of its own. I really enjoyed this.
