Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.

From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.

Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

Muddy golden color, bananas, estery nose. Big clovey, bananas notes, but I found it was lacking the soft maltiness of a trademark bock character, though the body was definitely heavier and maltier than a weizen. Decent without blowing me away.

Mellow hops, sweet and a little spice to it. Hops bite at the tail end but not as strong as i would have liked.

Bottled at pre-RBJG festivities in Kyoto. Muddy pale orange. Phenolic banana aroma. estery with toffee and sugar underneath. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and above medium body. Bubblegum and white pepper shows up in a finish with alcohol and some surprising bitterness.

Bomber thanks to TimE. Light golden honey-like color, though very muddy. Fruity aroma of banana, clove, orange, and a highly sour quality. Sweet flavor of banana and other fruits, medium sourness as well as a relatively strong bitterness with some peppery hops. Lighter in body and more refreshing than expected. Nice summer drink. Original.

(34.1cl bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Sweet, slightly sugary bready malty and slightly toasted aroma with a tinge of vegetables. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Bready and faint toasted malty taste with notes of candy, leading into a sweetish malty finish with almost no bitterness detectable. Quite one-dimensional brew (09.IV.09).

Bottle (thanx to Jonas!): Hazy, amber coloured, small, lacy off-white layer; moderate aromas of sugar and toasted malt in the nose; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, quite light bodied; sweetish toasty-sugary finish. Not bad, but quite uniforme........

Bright dark amber colour. Very hoppy with lots of caramel nose. Woody, light orange notes. Bitter, slightly acrid hop. Earthy. The alcohol comes in late. It loses something in translation to double size.

Deep dark brown body almost completely opaque with a thick nice deep brown finish. Aroma of roasted malt, cream, caramel and a bit of raspberries, not much though. Medium-bodied; Strong milky and lactic tastes up front with roasted malt and some sweetness following. Aftertaste shows a bit of raspberries, but more malt than anything else. This one tastes more like a sweet milk stout than a fruit flavoured porter. Overall, a decent beer - but not really worth getting. I sampled this just because it was one of the only few in the store. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased today, 28-December-2008 at Willow Park Liquors in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

12oz bottle-pours a dissipating off white head and amber/gold color. Aroma is perfumy, sweet medium malt, pine. Taste is initially resin hops with some bitter, then some medium malt backs it up. Further into the beer some grapefruit/chewy/earth hops come thru. Nice easy drinking IPA. Medium body. OK/mild carbonation. Thanks voonder-Alex & jwc215-Joe for sharing this.
