Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.

From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.

Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

I have trouble believing this is a version of the Spy Porter. There is no roastiness whatsoever. This comes off more as a brown ale. Black, lasting tan head.Nose of fruit and sugary dark malts. Palate is slight vinous, lightly fruit, light sweet malt. Pleasant and easy drinking

Hazy copper color; small head. Strange aroma: malt, meat, beans, straws. Quite good malt flavor, with limited sourness, and a light citrusy hopping. A bit metallic. Correct brew.

2008-07-30, draught at The Railway Club, Vancouver, 6-3-6-3-12=30
Golden color; creamy head. Mild aroma, some caramel and hop. Round body, caramel flavor, correct bitterness. Correctly brewed, quite pleasant.

bottle shared by jsquire - Pours dark brown though rather light for a porter. It has a chocolate and roast malt aroma that’s pretty good with a flavor to much. I guess I’ll call it medium bodied, but like the color it’s light for the style. The finish is moderately bitter. Average.
