Bottle 33cl. from a local PLUS supermarket @Groenpark Simpelveld poured into a pilsner glass. Clear deep dark brown colour, small moussy tan head, slowly dissipating, thin layer remains, fair lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malts, caramel, liquorice, light cocoa, raisins, Taste medium sweet and bitter with a light sour touch, malty, some roast, caramel, chocolate. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, liquorice, dusty notes, some alcohol, lacks a certain complexity, nice.

No head to speak of; unclear amberish brown beer. Alcoholic, boozy nose, pineapple, smelling pretty sweet. Sugar, syrup, dried fruit as figs. Again alcohol orally, but also fusels, dried fruit, preserved orange, wood, toffee, and retronasal, guimauve, vanilla. Finish displays a slight and welcome acidity. Feels strangely thinnish, alcoholthinning and slight -burn, undercarbonated. Not bad by any means, but if feels way too thin, no backbone to deliver the alcoholpunch. Thanks to Stef!
