Nez bien épicé avec du gingembre en évidence, un soupçon de cannelle et de clou de girofle, le tout sur un fond malté aux accents de cassonnade. La robe est cuivré foncé presque brune. Partiellement voilé, le liquide développe une assez grosse mousse persistante et bien dense qui laisse une dentelle élégante sur le verre. En bouche, c’est assez épicé, un peu poivré avec une impression de boisé. Gingembre et cannelle s’y retrouvent avec des houblons épicés, résineux et herbacés. La base maltée rappelle la cassonnade. La finale est mi-sèche avec les sucres qui s’incorporent aux épices. La corpulence est moyenne et la carbonatation assez élevée ce qui rehausse le piquant des épices sans être trop agressive.
