Rocky off white head on an unclear reddish brown coloured body. Toffee, berries & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with a cloying back. Toffee, spices, caramel & malt tastes with a lightly hopped fruity finish. Easy going Red Ale.

Handpull cask at the Queens Vaults, Cardiff. Light gold and clear with a tight off-white head. Light malt on the aroma but nowt else. Bittersweet taste with a bit of sourness, more like a lager to me. Not much here at all really, not a good drink.

Thin beige head on a reddish brown still body. Spiced fruit, caramel & malt aroma. Medium to thin bodied, lively on the tongue with a dry back. Malt, berries, spice & fruity tastes with a bitter finish. Is this a Red Bitter? All a bit wishy-washy.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a very dark brown with a reddish hue and a one finger creamy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, berries, caramel and bread. Taste has berries, caramel and a little more bread. Some sweetness on the finish. Very malty with no bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Ok but was expecting a bit more if I’m honest. A bit bland and lifeless.

Thin beige head on a dark reddish brown body. Malt, toffee & liquorice aroma. Medium bodied, lively on the tongue thinning out to a lump finish. Liquorice, malt, herbal, medicinal & toffee tastes with a sprinkling of the hops on the bitter finish. It's alright.
