Cask at the Oddfellows Arms, Falmouth, 25/04/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off White cap that retains well. Nose is citric hops, floral wash, tangerines, soft bread. Taste comprises juicy citric flesh, grassy, floral, lemon rind, soft bread dough, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop flicker. Solid citric sessioner .. ABV quite high for a golde ... have come across APA’s less hoppy than this.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tucker’s Maltings Beer Festival, 15/4/2016. Golden in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of pineapple, apricot and citrus hops. Flavour of biscuity malts and more fruits, with a hint of marmalade sweetness leading to a dryish finish. A good English IPA.

Bottle shared on the train to Cotts Convention II. It pours darkest brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is earthy roast, plain chocolate, umami, slightly ash and some meaty notes. The taste is smooth, bitter, charred roast, coffee grounds, umami, chewy malt, some acidityand plain chocolate with a dry, toasted finish. Light - medium body and limited carbonation. A fairly basic porter. Fair.

Bottle shared on the train to Cotts Convention 2016. Thanks to Paul and Lorna. Pours clear, reddish brown with a thin, bubbly tan head. The aroma holds some tangy, ripe berries, earth, old carpet. Light sweet flavor with more old berries, leaves, earth, leather, faint toffee. Light bodied with soft carbonation; the condition is lacking. Tangy berries in the finish, some brown bread, earthy bitterness, old leather. So so.

Wakefield Beer Festival 2015. Hazy golden colour. Ale textured ’wheat’, somewhat floral in its nose, with a more strawberry fruit-like sweetness in its flavour, albeit light. Has a fairly easy-drinking texture.

568ml bottle from John’s Beer & Wine, St Ives. Pours murky brown with short-lived tan head. Aroma is nutty, malty, leafy. Taste is sadly completely flat. Taste is nutty, malty with some dried dark fruits but the mouthfeel is a bit deflated and the lack of sparkle spoils it.

Wakefield Beer Festival 2015. Lighter golden colour. Has a fair hop-malt balance. Quite potent with its hop in its aroma, although a touch skunky. Has a light bitterness alongside a light sweetness in taste.

568ml pint bottle from John’s Beer & Wine, St Ives. Fresh apple juice aroma. Taste is fruity and quite sweet with some artificial boiled sweet moments. Some sugary residue on the finish. Not terrible, but just a bit over-sweet for me.

1 Pint bottle from John’s Beer & Wine, St Ives. Pours clear gold with a thin bubbly lace head, with a fresh cask-pulled appearance and mouthfeel. Aroma is light citrus zest. Taste is light and quaffable with smooth citra hops and a creamy walnut finish. A good first-impression from this brewery.

Gravity poured half-pint on 26th Aug 2015 at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Copper colour, leaning towards amber, wispy white head. Another good blend of malts with a fruity hop content, I had quite a few during the day (trying to miss the golden citrus options as much as possible). The nose was a mixed bag of fresh fruit with the taste being more on the malt side. Not bad at all.
