At Nates leaving do. Could smell the diacetyl from a foot away. some malt and hop but butter dominates.

Bottle shared at The Kernel. Pours lightly hazy, dark gold with a frothy white head. Very mild aroma, some dusty toast, caramel. Medium sweet flavor, leafy bitterness, some grass, toasty malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, light sweetness, dry caramel, leaves. It’s decent.

Bottle shared at The Kernel. Pours clear amber with a soft, white head. Toast, light toffee and fruits on the nose. Light sweet flavor, light toast and toasty caramel, some lovely pine bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Dries nicely to finish, with notes of toasty toffee, pine, sweet toast, mild resinous pine. Very solid beer.

Bottle at home, 21st February 2012. Aroma is nice, pours to form a substantial head. Taste is nice, bitter not so much fruit got better as it warmed. Not bad - i have had much better though

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Poured a hazy dark amber colour with a decent sized off white head. Interesting nose that had some nice tangerine notes in tandem with some subtle peppery spiciness, maybe vague cinamon or clove too. Flavour had prominent caramel malts alongside piney hop and juicy tropical fruit. Hop bitterness was very tasty and the slight peppery aspect continued on with the citrus into a lengthy lingering finish. Plenty to admire here, and definitely something I’d have again.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, riped orange, mango. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry, riped orange, peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120121]
