Bottle: Pours a light brown / amber color with little head. Aroma is clean and malty. Taste is also malty and earthy, with just a bit of toastiness. Finishes clean, but with a hint of bitter.

Bottle from beer swap 2.0 - hurray for unfiltered beer - boo for unfiltered beer that doesn’t taste that great - the aroma is kind of faint sweet malts, with an almost artificial yeasty quality - decent, earthy hops up front, followed by a decent malt balance, but this quickly drops out of the picture, leaving a rather thin, tangy citrus flavor that couples with an aspartame-like sweetness - it has its god points, but it’s bad points are more numerous.

Dark orange amber with a thin white head. A nice hoppy caramel, light alcohol, vinous notes, like an old ale. In mouth, good sweet caramel malt, light hops, a decent IPA, medium bodied. Enjoyed with the Mtl Crew Sept. 9, 2006.

Poured watery black with copper hues from the bottle with a white head. Smells of roasted malt, smoke, sweet and hoppy. Taste the roasted malt right away, with brown sugar and honey notes. The taste is fruity as well as malty. Finish is clean and warm, hinting of the extra alcohol. I tasted this at the brewery and it was amazing, soft and subtle. Out of the bottle it was less exciting but still very good.

Poured a clear copper brown color with a milky looking head. Metallic, malty, slightly sugary aroma. Not very hoppy. The finish is clean and surprisingly roasted. Almost tastes like this beer was brewed from Honey Smacks cereal. The finish really helps the flavor and this beer as a whole. Better beers from this brewery but this beer is origional and refreshing.

Test vom 3.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 2,7,10,10,3,9 - 8,00

Dark clear brown stout with a light moka head. Pleasant chocolate aroma with black coffee notes. In mouth, an interesting choco-malt, with burned toast bitterness, and an oily mouthfeel. A good stout. August 26,2006 at McGregor’s, Henrietta, NY.

Bottle: Poured a medium black color porter with a big foamy head with pretty good retention. Aroma of coffee is dominating and provide an interesting edge to this porter. Taste is a well balance mix between roasted malt and coffee. Body is a bit light and carbonation is too lively for the style IMHO. Good offering overall and something that I wouldn’t mind drinking again. Original score 3.5 Re-rate January 2007 - More choclate notes then I remembered and slightly more complex. 3.7

Pale amber color, mostly like most other lagers out there. A little spicy, which was not what I expected. Eh, just okay.
