Description
Temporal Artisan Ales is a brewing project that is crafting delicate oak-aged beers in a shared space at Luppolo Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC. The beers we create are fermented 100% in our oak barrels over lengthy periods of time, imparting delicate complexity. Portions of separate barrels are blended to enhance specific characteristics unique to each barrel. Every beer we release has been meticulously crafted from start to finish.

Draught at Luppolo, Vancouver
Ted colour, hazy. Gentle berry, but mostly the base beer is very nice, aggressively acidic but also astringent, mildly funky.

Draught at Luppolo, Vancouver
Cloudy golden colour. Sharply acidic and astringent, the cherry is present, although I think cherries perform better with some sugar, harsh barrel, light funk in the finish.
Good.

Draught at Luppolo, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. Nice and surprising aroma, delicate incense. Gently sour, lemony, touch of citrus zest, light incense, light vinous character.
Interesting and really good.

Attractive purple. Bubbly head. Solid berry accent to the nose, but also a good plum as well. Tart, nice plum character, and I like the gamay notes as well. Tannins...straddling the border between beverages. A lot of fun.

Purple colour, and a rich almost like a fruit port aroma. So I like the blueberry, and the fact that it reminds me of the port from Elephant Island is kind of cool.

Hazy, pale, umami, some wild notes, the grapes weave in and out but the structure is uncertain. Mild tartness, a bit salty...i like the grapey accent but not nuts about the underlying structure. This one I just am not sure about.

Hazy pale, nice menthol, minty, spicy, ginger honey...kind of fun. Vinous, the terps are an absolute hoot. Tasting one of my bottles and it’s great. I cannot wait for more terpene beers.

Pale pinkish and hazy, has a nice fruity note, mellow cherry, nice almondy cherry note. Quite tart.

Has a nice barrel note, maybe a touch of butyric. Cranberry, light berry, currants, not sure about the fermentation...the fruit might have been bit wonky. So this one didn't really work for me.

375mL bottle, pours a beautiful dark pinkish purple with a tiny pink bubbly head. Aroma is like dry blueberry wine, with lots of musty blueberry wine, dusty red grape skins, and a little wood. Flavour is exquisite, with lots of intense dry blueberries upfront, followed by some vinous notes, and wood. Lots of dry blueberries that are beautifully expressed. Lovely.
