(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 24 Nov 2024) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and prunes. Malty taste with caramel, dark bread, nuts and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Bottle from Micro Beer Crate. Pours a clear amber with small off-white head, some retention. Quite fruity in the aroma with dried fruits, citrus, citrus peel, raisins, malts. Nice. Taste of caramel malts dominates at first then dried fruits, citrus peel, floral resin, moderate bitter bite in the finish. Nice smooth medium body for the strength. Very good bitter in my book.

Bottle from Micro Beer Crate @ 8.5%. Pours a cloudy amber with lively white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly bready malts, yeast, marmalade and brown sugar. Interesting! Taste follows nose with a sweet, lightly sticky and boozy number with marmalade and zesty orange peel notes, floral hops with a decent bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel with a high frothy carbonation. A warming number, quite tasty, arguably a little rough around the edges but has an authentic old skool vibe to it.

330ml can from Micro Beer Crate. Took me a year to drink a Buckinghamshire beer then two come along at once. Just painted the main bedroom then mowed the lawn on a nice sunny day in May. Need a refreshing beer. This one has a light cloudy gold pour with a moderate sized foamy white head with plenty of carbonation, retention and lacing. Looks great. Aroma has sweet pale malts and a tangy fruity hop notable. Looking forward to this. Flavour has refreshing soft tropical profile with grapefruits, melon, citrus, some pine and wheat. Hit the spot nicely.

330ml bottle from Micro Beer Crate online. I haven't had a gusher in so long I was lulled into a false sense of security which hit home when it spilt all over my trousers once opened. Didn't lose too much though. Pours murky reddish-brown with big beige head, settles to a nice creamy top. Aroma of toasted malt, stewed berries, banana, metal. Moderate and very creamy smooth body, soft carbonation. Taste has semi sweet roasty malts, dark fruits, modest coffee like bitterness, some cola. A porter with some red ale elements. Tasty.

330ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery. Drunk at home. Brownish gold, clear with a half-ring of off-white head. Golden syrup, raisins, marmalade on toast, cough syrup in the aroma with a light grassy character. Sweetctaste to the fore with some fairly intense bittering hop hitting the back of the tongue. Light vegetal character just before the finish. Thick, oily body; little on the way of carbonation. Well done.
