Cask at Colin's place. Thanks. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a small halo of beige. Aroma is semi sweet, toffee, grass, touch of liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy grains, nutty, toffee, grassy hop, firm bitterness.. Palate is semi sweet, mellow carbonation, little grainy.

Tasting at Chez Cloin. Thanks to Cloin. Hand pour. Clear amber beer, a few white bubbles. Palate is light and fairly dry, modest fine carbonation. Light malts, clean but any sweetness is outmuscled by the bitter citric peel and marmalade of the hops. Bitter grassy finish. Tidy.

From a 2 pint PET bottle at home, picked up at the brewery, 08/08/21. Clear golden to copper pour with an off white cap formed of bubbles. Nose is faint orange peel, straw, toasted malts, grains, light hedgerow, herb. Taste comprises bitter fruit esters, grass, hay, biscuit, herb, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close with a mellow bitter kiss. Ok cask affair.

Keg at the brewery shop, 07/08/21. Clear golden with a good sized white head. Nose is pale malts, cereals, grains, light lemon, straw. Taste comprises pale malts, crackers, cereals, light bready notes, straw, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough lager.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear copper with a tight, creamy head. The nose holds musty carpets, leaves, leather. Medium sweet with light toasted bread, caramel, leaves. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, nips of brown sugar, toffee. Just OK.

18/12/2020. Bottle from BEER:shop, St. Albans. Pours very dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of liquorice, dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, toffee, molasses. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Decent.

20/11/2020. Bottle from BEER:shop, St. Albans. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is nicely spiced, with nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and pepper, chocolate, roasted malt, and a medicinal edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Lightly spiced and warming to finish, enjoyable at home on a cold November lockdown evening.

330ml bottle. Golden amber colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of dried fruits, orange, honey hint. Taste is sweet malty, toffee, caramel, with fruity & citrus orange marmalade notes and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, medium to soft carbonation, dry boozy finish. Quite drinkable.
