Located on an old working farm in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, the emphasis has always been to produce natural, wholesome beers using the best, class A malt and hops sourced in England. Our brewing process mirrors age-old methods and our beers are brewed with skill, passion and integrity. Day 3 of my homemade advent calendar. Great pour with a good and long lasting head. Huge rich malt that was well balanced with the alcohol. Very English and all the better for that.

Gravity cask at the 28th St Albans Beer Festival, 26/09/25.
Golden amber topped with an off white cap.
Nose is bitter fruit esters, straw, hedgerow, biscuit.
Taste comprises fruit slice, herb, straw, crackers, grains.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter edge.
Okay if lacking a little in the flavour department for 6%.
Bought at IWM Duxford, drank at home while watching England beat Australia in the Women's Rugby World Cup. A fine Amber Ale.
