Can from Tavour. Pours golden amber with a large off-white head. Aroma is malty with some pale fruit. Med body. Flavor is very clean. Malty in a toffee/toasty mix. Drier than many. Not very bitter. Floral hop. Extremely good flavor for the style.

Tap at the Washington Street location - dark purple pour - looks still - nose is fig, bourbon, treacle, tamarind, plum - flavor is sweet and spicy (particularly in the finish) - moderate whiskey notes - plum, tamarind - there is a moderate acidity late that creates a kind of balsamic vinegar note on the tail end that I actually quite enjoy - acidity lingers through the finish, but there is some underlying treacle sweetness that still cuts through - surprisingly low heat for the abv - it's good, but would really like to try this with several years on it.

Tap at Washington Street location - black pour with a tan lace - nose is deep whiskey, moderate chocolate, brined cherry, alcohol heat - bittersweet chocolate, bourbon, herbal dry vermouth bitterness - cloying finish with lingering heat - a bit much, but there is still a lot to like.

Tap at Washington Street location - nose has a rich complexity of fruitcake, brined cherries, whiskey-soaked oak, dark chocolate - flavor is deep dark chocolate, black cocktail cherries, rye whiskey, amaretto - moderate bitterness - a little on the syrupy side, but overall comes together like a warming digestif - would actually love to try it warm/mulled - tasty and warms the whole body.

Tap at the Washington Street Location - hazy orange - bright, fresh, and zesty, with strong citrus notes - light peppery yeast undertones before the cabernet barrel character comes to the fore and lingers through the long, dry, oaky finish - pretty nice.
