Description
Stack Brewing was launched right here in Sudbury in June of 2013. The idea came about by Shawn Mailloux, a fan of good beer, born and raised right here in the Nickel City. After years of drinking beers that were not quite right for him and his friends, he decided to brew a beer that would appeal to casual and seasoned beer drinkers alike.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clear gold with good carbonation and full finger of white foam that lingers. Light grain, honey and sweet malt aromas on the nose. Sweet on the palate, but some grain and bread notes in there as well. Pretty decent for what it is. --- Beer merged from original tick of Puppers Premium Lager on 22 Jun 2019 at 21:02 - Score: 6

This lager poured a clear, ultra light yellow colour with a bright white head. Minimal lacing. Looks like pure white bread. Scents include corn, corn syrup and dough. First swig was very weak and thin. Flavours of corn and a hint of perm solution. Finish is very weak with minimal hop flavour and a corn aftertaste.

Can at Defina in the Junction Triangle. Cloudy blonde, white head that reduces to ring. More IPA than sour. Resin and a rich citrus and perfume hop with a bit of a chalkiness aftertaste, all over sweet hay malt, with a barely there sour. Overall a decent beer, but not much of a sour, but the hops well make up for it.

Can at the Loon. Yellow hazy colour with a warm frothy head, decent stay and nice creamy foam lacing. Light sour nose with citrus notes of lemon juice. Also, some good hoppy aromas with a grainy base. Flavours are a nice balance between sour start and a decent bitterness that lingers with the sourness. A pretty decent sour IPA.

Can from the brewery on second trip there. Pours a clean light golden-yellow colour with a white cap that disappears rather quickly, leaving just a collar around the brew. Big yeast nose at first, with some mild grain showing up later with some chemical notes from the hops (or just not the right ones for this brew). The taste is much better with the cereal grains taking over. Decent mild dry finish. Goes down nicely as a light lager.

Can from the brewery. Pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white bubbly head, average retention and not much lacing. Carbonation is pretty active with bigger bubbles than usual. A nice blend of Belgian yeast and wheat for the aromas, but the hops chosen here kind of take away from the positive. This seems a little more in the taste. The wheat part is alright, with banana and cereal notes. Nothing really special here, but what I have to say is that it is not rich like some wheat ale, so easier to drink.

Some florals but it's fairly cloying. Pours golden with ok head. A little too sweet. Can from LCBO.

Pours a light hazy yellow colour with a fizzy off-white head disappearing quickly, leaving no lace. Mild cereal grain aromas with some spicy hops. Wet mouthfeel. Cereal grain taste, on the light side with again, some spiciness in the finish. A different light beer, but not bad. Thinking more like Peppers, than Puppers.

A hazed golden ale with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light ground cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, light butter, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light acidity, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. On tap at Funkfest 2018.
