Description
Stack Brewing was launched right here in Sudbury in June of 2013. The idea came about by Shawn Mailloux, a fan of good beer, born and raised right here in the Nickel City. After years of drinking beers that were not quite right for him and his friends, he decided to brew a beer that would appeal to casual and seasoned beer drinkers alike.

A hazed golden DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth, but ipa like. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with smooth resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light clover field, nice and smooth. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016.

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes and fruity ester with loads of residual sugar notes is OK. Taste of faint cereal and fruity ester is overshadowed by some gross residuals sugar notes. Body is full enough for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This one lacked attenuation and was way too sweet for its own good.

Can at Session Muskoka. Cloudy pale gold under a small white head that leaves sparse lace. Nose is big pine and citrus with some light toffee. Light sweet base for a medium bitterness but fairly one dimensional. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. OK. 8-/3+/6+/3/13

Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a beige cap and some foamy lace. I sense infection in this one, as sour nose and tongue. Toasted malts, fruitiness, caramel and some hops. Hope I can try one not infected one day as this sourness is killing it.

Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. Warm cap, kind of fizzy, leaves quickly enough, but the lacing is full, foamy and sticky. Smells like Sleeman Cream Ale at first pour, but then it changes. Mild fruity malts and this leaf hop aromas. This grassy hop also transfers to the taste, giving some kind of burnt wood feel. The fruity malts do balanced out things, but overall, the hop used in this one is not the best.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out white wine barrels upfront, followed by Belgian yeast and some biscuity malt. Flavour is pretty mellow though dominated by the white wine barrels still - not very complex or Belgian-y. Nothing offensive but it's pretty weak. Okay.

Draft - Light lemon tartness and some barrel notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Lots of Woody notes, touch of nice sourness and a long peppery finish. Surprisingly light and easy drinking with a great amount of tartness. Well done.

Enjoyed at my first Toronto Session, so understandably my notes are a little hazy. Last beer before I gave up rating and just decided to enjoy the damn beer. Caramel brown beer with a ring of white head. Nose of hops - resin and mild pine, thin malt nose. Taste of resin and carmel malts. Note taking now done, I proceeded with my brother in booze Freaky Tiki to befriend the bff of one of Flying Monkey brewer who sets us up. Drunkenness ensues.

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of crisp cereal notes and light floral ester is nice. Taste is mostly dominated by crisp cereal notes with some light floral ester and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed and good style staple.
