Pale brown, rather un-stoutlike. Toasty and a lottle bit nutty. Light body w some thin sugars giving way to perhaps some off-flavours.

Hazy blondish amber. Thin head. Has quite a bit of smoke on the nose - beech. Thin body so not a lot of malt but w a lot of smoke still.

Golden, dull and hazy. Thin head. Mild hop and caramel aroma. Earthy palate w a little juiciness. Good balance.

Bouteille 750ml. De couleur ambrée-orange et voilée. Nez de houblon citrique (pamplemouse), légèrement floral et herbeux, de fruits (agrumes, léger d’abricots et de fruits tropicaux), malté de caramel sucré avec des notes épicées (poivre doux), de céréales et d’alcool doux. Moyenne-ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement huileuse et aux notes crémeuses. Goût fruité (agrumes, léger fruits tropicaux) accompagné d’une moyenne amertume de houblon citrique (pamplemousse) et légèrement floral (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malt de caramel assez sucré avec un goût de grains de céréales et quelques traces de biscuits puis à mesure que l’on approche de la finale, une amertume d’alcool réchauffant se fait sentir et vient se fusionner à l’amertume de houblon existante, qui elle même prend un penchant plus herbeux, asséchant et avec de faibles notes résineuses. Post-goût long et un peu sec, amer de houblon citrique, herbeux et aux notes florales, léger d’alcool et de fruits (zeste d’agrumes).

Draft: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of dry roasted malt with some light spicy notes. Taste is a good mix dominated by dry roasted malt with light coffee notes with some light cayenne notes which are well balanced. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well done with just the right amount of heat.

Draft: poured an amber color weizen with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light banana bread with caramelized sugar notes. Taste is very smooth with good notes of banana bread with caramelized sugar and wheat malt. Body is about average for style with smooth texture and good carbonation. Well brewed and nice to drink a style that we do not see enough of.

Wow... what a lovely brew !! Pours a hazy amber-brown colour with a big creamy beige head that stays a long, long time and creates thick, chunky, patchy lacing all over. At first pour, a nice sweet aroma stands out, with notes of pineapples and coconuts. After a while, the hop shows up with some hints of roasted and caramel malts. After a long time, dark fruits come out... so lots of different layers of smell. Slightly creamy mouthfeel with some light stickiness and a bit of dryness in the finish. A nice starting taste of roasted malts and dark fruits leading into the hoppy bitterness with a touch of caramel, butterscotch, lingering burnt malt and let’s just leave the rest at awesomeness. Being made since August 2009... its seems that they have very well-balanced this brew. Nice from the bottle and cannot wait to try the barrel-aged versions of this ale.

Bouteille 750ml. De couleur brune et légèrement voilée. Nez fruité (confitures de petits fruits, notes de cerises et de raisins), de malt moyennement rôti, légèrement grillé et aux notes fumées, moyen de caramel, léger de houblon herbeux avec des notes de biscuits et d’épices (poivre doux). Moyenne-ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture riche, légèrement sirupeuse et avec des petites notes liquoreuses. Goût fruité (confitures de petits fruits, léger de raisins, traces de prunes noires et de cerises) accompagné d’un très léger goût de malt fumé (fume de bois) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel toffee sucré, moyennement rôti et aux faibles traces terreuses ainsi qu’un léger goût de biscuits et quelques traces de sucre brûlé puis en finale un goût d’alcool doux aux notes réchauffantes ainsi qu’une légère amertume de houblon herbeux dominent. Post-goût moyen-long, légèrement amer de rôti, d’alcool très doux, léger de houblon herbeux et de fruits (moût de petits fruits).
