Pours a hazy light golden-amber colour with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly leaving nothing. Beautiful fresh grapefruit juice smell, a little on the sweet-side, but some mild beer grain comes balance things. The beer is really felt more in the taste. The juice is actually quite mild at first and then, bang... loads of the grainy brew in the finish. Not too sweet and definitely not syrupy, so pretty refreshing overall. The radler with the bigger beer taste so far.

Can: Poured a pale yellow color Helles with a medium size white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of unrefined grainy malt with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by cereal notes with unrefined grainy notes. Light butter and herbal notes can also be detected. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Malt bill is not clean enough for my taste.

Bottle - Vintage 2005 - Molasses, prune, chocolate and toffee. Deep jet brown with a rich brown head. Chocolate, prune and a subtle roasty bitterness in the finish. A very nice beer, that has aged very well. Too bad the brewery didn’t last as long.

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfes. Venti radler - 4.2% a cloudy very pale straw gold. Zesty grapefruit-orangina aroma. Very light bodied, sweet sugary grapefruit. I dub thee the orangina beer. Tasty but not beer like.

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfest.  It pours a crystal clear light gold. An earthy bready aroma with some soft hop notes. Medium bodied, bready earthy, crisp finish, solid malts and light hops. A top knotch lager. This hit the spot & provided a welcome break from all the hoppy beers. A clean well-made lager.

Light once palate for style but dont make for bad drinking necessarily. Like a kind of session black ipa. Pours dark black with great head and lacing. Light roast aroma with light hops. Well balanced and inoffensive but on the light side overall. Tap at Brothers.
