More of a logger than a porter, get it? Pours red amber for starters. Tastes more like a malty brown or red without any sense of roast that would distinguish it as a porter. Finishes with lightly caramlized malt. Tap at Arrow and Loon.

Not super interesting but a good go-to in Ottawa non-craft brew pubs. Pours dark amber with some roast malt and a little hoppy bitterness. Good for pitcher session at Mugshots. Tap.

Not a bad session beer to drain by the pitcher, but not the best detox breaker either. Pours amber with decent head and lacing. Some caramelized malt and a light sweet finish. Anyway one harmless put,her isn’t enough to end my detox. Tap at mugshots.

A golden amber ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, OK. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light fruity notes, grassy hops, OK but lacking the right hops.

Enjoyed at the National Capital Craft Beer Week. Pours a clean pale blond colour with a decent white head that stays and create creamy lacing. Big grainy nose with soapy notes from the hop. Good blend of wet and dry mouthfeel. Again, nice full grain taste with minimal hops. An overall nice grainy brew.

Enjoyed this one a few months ago at Pub Italia, on cask. Poured a hazy amber colour with a frothy beige head, great retention and thick dirty lace all-around. Spicy hop nose with apple notes and light caramel. Wet, medium-bodied with a little dryness in the finish. Mild fruity malt taste with the hop bitterness in the finish. Gets stronger as it goes. Kind of soapy hops. A pretty nice beer from Kichessippi that has more hop than usual and less grain for them.

A hazed amber ale with a thick light mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with nice floral hops, grassy and piney, surprising for a german hop. In mouth, biscuir malt with grassy hops, bitter and mineral, well made.

Bouteille 650ml.

This beer is obviously a little past its prime, and possibly its rating may reflect a more innocent era in Ontario brewing, but its still a pretty good beer. Pours cloudy brown. Good aroma of hops and some roast malt. Bottle possibly at the last place you can still find this - The Rhino.
