Description
Binghams Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and was located in the Berkshire village of Twyford. We’ve been brewing quality cask ales across the spectrum from lighter thirst slaying session beers (3.7%) to something with a bit more oomph (5.0%).
Moved to Woodley in 2020, brewing ceased shortly after.

Carry out from the brewery. A straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; sweet aroma with some damp straw; sweet biscuity body with a prickly bitterness; and a long dry finish; but a rather muddy combination of hops that doesn’t quite work.

Carry out from the brewery. Amber with a ring of white head; peppery aroma; prickly in the mouth with a sweetish malty body; and a clean crisp bitterness, leaving a peppery warmth. Very easy drinking.

Cask at Tilly Shilling, Farnborough. Floral and hay aroma. A slightly hazy gold. Thin white head. Sweet with a malty umami undercurrent. Juicy. Caramel. Some bitterness develops in the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long finish. In summary, juicy in the optimum word. A refresher.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Tangy malts. Tangy dried fruits. Some bitterness on the light dry finish. Pretty dull.

Cask gravity at SIBA South East Tonbridge 2017. Clear mid brown colour no real head. Peppery hop and malty aroma Good Standard bitter aroma and flavour. So nice to have a proper brown bitter these days. Loved it. Love the sweet malt and white pepper hop finish. Bitter that is properly bitter. Loved it.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small thin white head that quickly dissipated. A sweet caramel and marmalade aroma. A sweet almost syrupy taste, caramel and sweet citrus flavours with a moderate citrus bitterness in the finish. Slightly oily in the mouth, pleasant in small quantities but not a session ale.

Hand-pulled pint, sat in the early evening sun outside The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury on 20th June 2017. Clean golden body, white crown with lacing. Lightly malted brew leaving the hops to do their thing. So a mild citrus and spicy, hoppy aroma and taste. Pleasant.
