Cask gravity at Kent & East Sussex Railway BF 2016. Deep clear amber colour attractive lasting white head. Some caramel and peppery hop aroma. Ok caramel toffee flavour with an edge of white pepper hops. Very English. Good condition. Good drinkability. Lovely best bitter pale ale or whatever. Good hop bite on the finish. Good.

Handpull cask at the Brewery Tap, the bar at the National Brewery Centre. Copper with a decent-sized off-white head. Not much aroma - a bit of fruity resiny astringency but it’s rather muted. I like the way this tastes. Sweet with tropical fruit juice notes fading to an astringent - but far from harsh - long finish. A cracking little bitter with bags of character.

Handpull cask at the Brewery Tap (part of the National Brewery Centre), Burton. Very very dark brown and almost opaque. Big creamy tan head. Smells of blackberry, charcoal and liquorice. Sweet, fruity taste gives way to a marked hoppy bitterness. More blackberry and muted liquorice in the aftertaste. Body is a bit thin, but otherwise a brilliant little stout.

Handpull cask at the Brewery Tap (part of the National Brewery Centre). Golden with a large cream-coloured head. Soft aroma of wheat, tangerine and a hint of astringency. Very bitter and astringent in the taste once the initial sweetness passes, gorgeous at first but a bit taxing closer to the end of the beer. Not a huge fan of ’Burton-y’ beers in general but when in Rome, etc, and this is nice.

Cask at Craft Clapham. It pours clear brown with a small, bubbly off-white head. The aroma is soft, earthy, brown bread, cereal and caramel. The taste is sort of bitter, earthy, leaf, cereal, grainy, dull lemon, lemon parfait and caramel. with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty earthy stuff. Not bad overall.

Draft at Craft 100 Spring 2016 - Craft Beer Co. Clapham, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a tight, creamy white head. The nose holds pale grains and orange peel. Light to medium sweet flavour with further grainy malts, light dough, bread. Light in body with fine carbonation. Pretty nice on the finish, with hints of grain, butterscotch and toffee. An alright British ale.

Craft 100 at Craft Clapham. Cask. Hazy amber beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Caramel malts, not that sweet. Bitter floralness. A carbonated nip in the mid. Dried fruits, some citric peel and a little orange. Light crisp finish. A decent bitter in great condition.
