About
The Wild Beer Co was born in 2012 out of a love of fermentation, barrel-ageing and most importantly, flavour. We believe exceptional brewing stems from imagination and passion. Our beers are brewed using modern creative techniques and ingredients while producing some of the world’s oldest beer styles guaranteed to give you a memorable drinking experience.

Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

Can at home from who knows where. A really lively pour with a massive head. And a huge amount of crud in the bottom of the can. I've not seen anything like that for a long time. The beer was good, not mind blowing, but good. This was enjoyed in the sunshine with the family before moving inside for an excellent lasagne and a very good bottle of Rioja.

Taste is sweet, malty, molasses, caramel, chocolate, fruity, woody, with barrel notes, sherry, bourbon, vanilla, some warming booze and earthy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, boozy woody bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

750ml bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Pours almost black with beige to tan foam. Aroma: chocolate along with rum, sherry, red wine barrels. On the taste there's a sour streak coming through, quite barrel forward, lots going on. Thin body with light carbonation. Flavours are there, just needs a bit more body.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Another gusher this ! Not particularly effervescent on opening, but despite careful pouring I still got a glass full of froth. Anyway, pours a very dark reddish-brown with a large, frothy, but quite transient cream head and good lacing. The aroma is a mix of malts and chocolate with hints of citrus and floral hops. In the mouth, it is sweet and creamy atthe start though hoppy, tangy, cola vibes are quickly felt. Roasted malts and tropical fruits in the flavour, maybe mango. Some fruity bitterness in the finish. Reasonable – promises much but never quite delivers.

Tight white head left a frothy top on an unclear pale amber coloured body. Resinous, malt & grain aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & foamy with cloying back. Malt, pine, resin, pithy hops & tangerine tastes with an extremely bitter finish. Palate Wrecker - Love it!

750 ml green waxed bottle, as Wild Beer After Oak BA Wild Belgian Ale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.2%. Slightly hazy golden to orange colour, small white head. Aroma of funk, farmhouse / brettanomyces, honey melons, flowers and honey. The flavour is moderately sour, notes of melons and honey again, but the beer is not very sweet. Hints of oranges and tangerines, also discrete hints of oak, dry finish, low bitterness.
