Description
We are always busy creating taste sensations, always looking for improvements or new flavours and optimizing our beers. Our beer is pronounced, complex, balanced, often full and soft in texture. We don’t brew beer for everyone, we only brew beer for people who love pronounced flavours. We do this by constantly tinkering with our recipes in search of perfection, we want to brew beer that is considered legendary. One has to tell stories about how great the beer of the Moersleutel is. Anyone who drinks our beer must be spoiled for life and must want nothing more.

Mosaic hops. Very hazy gold - orange beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Light malts, thin creamy sweetness. Some seltzer-orange. Mild orange peel. Tangerine - lemon. Mild hop spice. Very mild tropical fruits. Light and hop spicy finish. Good.

Batch 1732. Lots of tropical fruit, good mouthfeel, a bit thick. Bitter aftertaste. Eastcoast/westcoast hybrid, almost. My kind of IPA. 3.8

Bottle from het Biermoment, batch 1732 BB 01-2018, 37.5 cl sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, again some nasty onion and garlic green hoppiness. Yeasty byproducts and garlicy hops ruin the taste a bit as well. Like there’s too much old hops in there or something. Moersleutel is ruining their best new brewer award. Meh.

Bottle @ home. Black colour with a medium sized light brown head. Smells roasty, chocolate, quite earthy, liquorice, slightly peat, sweet, some alcohol. Tastes sweet, chocolate, chocoladevla, roasty, slagroom, mocha, some alcohol, some liquorice, vanilla. Without the liquorice taste it would be close to perfect. Full body, soft carbo.

375 ml. bottle split with Kraddel. Samll gusher. Very dark brown black, HUGE, HUGE head, had to pour into several glasses, wait for a while. Nose is very green raw coffee, far too fizzy,... Taste is far too fizzy, bitter plastic, bitter green roast, black chocolate, very simple & excessive carbonation ruins it. Got only the illusion of almost. 3rd beer by these guys & I fail to see why Dutch people hype this brewery.

375 ml. bottle split with Kraddel. BBF 9-2022. Very dark brown to black, deep mocha coffee head. Nose is cacao, brown cereal, chocolate, bitter roast. Bitter roast upfront, very simple, bitter espresso, too many plastic notes, decent simple coffee & malt roast brew,... Little complextiy, depth, bit too plastic but decent,... Body is plastic & roasted malt. Tried 3 beers so far from this brewery, I don’t get the hype & I don’t get how this is top 50 in its respective style.
