Tried at the three horseshoes waddington. And back at 4.8%. Amber gold colour with a white head. Malty and slight fruity hop aroma. Taste sweet malt and fruit with a bitter finish.

500ml bottle from Oakchurch farm shop, Herefordshire, that Jim shared with me - cheers! Cloudy straw colour with a huge white head. Yeasty aroma and taste. Dry with a little citrus and bread. Some sourness. Not great.

Cask-conditioned at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol March 2013 as "Hereford Dark". Dark brown with a slight, off-white head. Sweet malts, caramel, some prune fruits and a gentle finish. Ok.

Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear medium orange yellow color with a average to large, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, fruity, light caramel, apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111208]

Hand-pulled half-pint under the new name and pump font of ’Hereford Brewery, Muttley’s Revenge’ and at 4.8% ABV @ The Firs Club, Codsall: during their beer festival on 17 Nov 2012. Nice looking brew: deep amber with a ruby tint highlight: on top a full head of creamy foam (also cream in colour). Malty notes hit the nose: caramel and roasted peanuts with a toffee coating came to mind. The taste is also malts foremost: semi-sweet molasses with a fruit and nut chocolate bar feel at first, then a slight hop bitterness arrives towards the end of each sip. Well balanced and easy to drink.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading as Hereford Dark. Dark reddish copper with a thin white head; soft malty caramel flavour with a touch of chocolate. A pleasant mild.

Cask, handpump at The Victory, Hereford following the late cancellation of the Hereford ?Beer on the Wye, Beer Festival?, Hereford Rowing Club, Herefordshire Saturday 7th July 2012 Pours golden with a wispy, filmy white head and good clarity. Not too disimilar to the Wye Valley Flower Power just sampled in many respects possibly less sweet and with a dryer edge and slightly more bitter. Good bittersweet light fruity beer with a pleasant bite, drying towards end and with a middling bitterness. Not a bad beer at all. Up until now Wye Valley Flower Power was the best beer if the day but now this I think just surpasses it. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask, handpump at The Spread Eagle, Hereford Saturday 7th July 2012 Pours amber with slim white head. Bit fruity on nose, fruity with a sour tanginess in the mouth, probably a bit tired or past its best if truth be known. Not my thing at all. A6 A2 T4 P2 Ov9 2.3

Spoons Fest. Clear brown beer. Light palate, some softness. Rich malt, nutty with a mild sweet undertone. Pineapple and banana with some woody notes. Finishes semi dry. Could drink a lot of this!
