Pours black, small, dark tanned head with very short lifespan. Smell is low in intensity, has a certain tart side to it, as well as a mild roast. Sharp, overall, and not as intense as hoped for. Taste is intense roasty, bitter, mild tartness, some chocolate malts, fusel alcohols, burnt malts, very sharp. Medium to medium thick body, medium high carbo. Cocoa is noticable, but not as much as hoped. This beer could benifit from less alcohol, thicker body, lower carbo, and more balance. It certainly ain't bad as it is now, tho.

bottle. dark yellow, smooth offwhite head. quite interesting aroma. notes of lime, notes of flowers, faint spicy yeasty notes. flavor is sweet flowery, sweet malty, faint bitterness in the end.

At a tasting, many thanks, small bubbly head, cloudy dark brown color with reddish hues, aroma of cocoa and prunes with a muddy and chocolate hints, flavor of prunes and dried apples with some light chocolate notes coming through, light hoppy bitterness, light to medium bodied. Nice.

330ml bottle. Milky, faint dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy, minimally floral aroma, minimally bready, grainy malty basis, hints of white grapes, unripe nectarine, kiwi fruit, a touch of oat flakes. Taste is minimally dry, fruity hoppy, minimally sweet and bready, caramel malty basis with a floral honey touch, hints of green apple, kiwi fruit, white grapes; smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation. Rather sweet and malty for a Saison.

Pours cloudy dark brown with a big, frothy, tan head. The aroma contains (milk & dark) chocolate, coffee (with milk), caramel, some red fruits. It tastes medium chocolatey sweet and light to medium toasty bitter; slightly dry and roasted finish. Medium body, slick/oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good complexity and taste.

Keg at BD Soho. It pours hazy orange - amber with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is sticky, perfumed, tangy orange marmalade, peach, candied peel, earthy, wood and bergamot. The taste is bitter, oily orange, pithy, zesty, resinous, pine, earth, grass, pepper, bit of cardboard, boozy kick and a bit of toffee with a drying and pepper finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fair so-so for the style.
