Bottle Clear, tawny body. Light brown, creamy head, mostly lasting. Nice lace. Sweet, citrus aroma. Lightly bitter flavour.

1995. Brought to marinaro500’s post-Thanksgiving gathering by gulp. Cloudy yellow-orange body, thin off-white head. Funky sour musty aroma with brie cheese rind. Fruity body but not too tangy, with wheat, a touch of balsamic vinegar, cheese rind, and must but not really all that sour compared to the Cantillons. And I like sour when it comes to these lambics.

Bottle: Poured a deep red colored beer with a medium head with average retention for a lambic. Aroma is comprised solely of raspberry. Taste is also dominated by raspberry with a little tart and sour ending. This one is a guilty pleasure for me since I know it taste more like fresh raspberry juice then beer but I like it nonetheless. Very refreshing, I could drink a lot of this.

[Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm] A hazy orange beer with a small orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of strawberries. The flavor is flat (as it is supposed to be) and fruity with notes of strawberries. Where is the sourness?

Hazy dark golden. Looks great. Not much head. Very clean aroma of leather and lemon. Clean palate as well. Fairly sweet as oude gueze goes, but with a nice tart finish. Very clean and lemony, and has a fairly substantive malt base underneath. Good example.

(Just as Diabel’s - this one’s still the original from Moriau blendings. Apart from the place Tim mentions, it might be still available at Moriau’s pub, right in front of the Sint Pieters Leeuw church) Slightly drab red-brown beer, orange shine and UFO’s; slim pinkish ring, fast gone. Spiking acid nose: fruit and lactic, acetic. No doubt there is a fully fruit adjunct, even the stones can be traced in the nose. Some Brett, but not very outspoken. Very sharp sour taste, once the shock over, it mellows, becoming wonderfully fruity. Not as some - this is not clear fruit juice, it is a wonderfully complex total, a myriad display of differnt esters, acids and organic compounds I have no name for. Incidentally, the full power of this beer culminates in the palate. There’s obiviously some acidburn. superb fruit lambic - it has always been amongst the finest.

Lightly pink, fizzy head, which is fully diminishing. Virtually no lace. Murky red body. Cherry and lightly horse-blanket aroma. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic initial flavour. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic (short) finish. Light tot medium bodied. Fizzy carbonation. A soft and very decent kriek!

Lightly sweet, heavily acidic, very well-balanced initial flavour. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter (long) finish. Light to medium bodied. Lively carbonation.
