Cask: Copper coloured, lacing, small head; faint fruity (also with a touch of vegetables) and very very light bitter nose; distinctive bitter flavour, rather light bodied; lingering medical bitter and fruity finish. A bit thin, not really satisfying............

Poured a nice copper/bronze color from the bottle with a skinny white head. Dry texture with soft carbonation. Not as hoppy as I expected.

Pour is a amber with a small tan head. No reall aroma to speak of. Flavor is not that more exciting. Bland and watery but it is quite creamy. I could use my $1.99 back that i spent on this.

Bottle. Strawberry and light molasses aroma. Dark amber color with moderate head. Molasses and barley malt flavor - light hint of berries. LIght flavor - strange palate - just seemed like flavors didn’t blend well.

66cl bottle from Franglais, Calais. I just couldn’t put myself out enough to buy this in England where it would have been more expensive. So on my last visit to Calais, I popped it into the trolley, not expecting any great shakes. It is a pale gold colour with a thick white head. Peppery hop and lemon citrus aroma. Bit of herb. Smooth in mouth, like lemon sorbet and then a good hop finish. Best drunk chilled I feel, a bit like a lager. This for me is the nicest Greene King beer that I’ve had. Very refreshing on a Sunday afternoon of 30 degrees plus. Well balanced. It won over my indifference. Not sure why you would have it with food though any more than any other beer.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoons. Copper colour with lasting beige head. Toffee and hop aroma. Creamy in mouth. Not at all bad. Quite pleasant session bitter with nice sweetish hops on the end.

Cask handpull at Wetherspoons, Folkestone. I can see what Mungo and imdownthepub are saying, there is some nice red berry malt in this. Copper coloured bitter with disappearing white head. But for me it had a bit of vinegar. Maybe it wasn’t served at its best. Malt is ok but the vinegar element is nasty. May have it again to see if it is in better condition.

Cask handpull at County Hotel (JDW), Ashford. Copper colour with thin off white head. Yeasty appley bitter with some burnt toffee, and an earthy finish. It’s fine, a standard earthy session bitter.

Bottle at Bluebird, Santiago, Chile. Amber ale with a thin off white head. Initial skunkeyness, followed by a sweet caramel aroma with nuttyness. In mouth, a rather oxidized brew, with cardboard notes, and surranated hops, medium bodied. Probably were trying to get rid of the last bottles, payed 2000P.
