Description

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and creamy with some citrus fruit. Flavor is sort of bland and boring. Some grain and sweet malts but very bland and almost flat. Maybe this is a bad bottle as so many others rated this high but as it is this is not a good triple.

On tap at Delirium, Brussels, 25-07-08 Difficult to determine the colour of this beer in the cave like surroundings of this cellar bar but it looks golden. This is really quite assertively hoppy there is a soft restrained bitterness, nice tanginess and there are slight comparisons with one of the De Ranke products probably XX bitter. The strength is noticeable but never intrusive a lovely beer.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A nice sweet candy sugar aroma with orange peels, hops and warming alcohol. In mouth, a rather peaty sweet malt with curacao, licorice, light herbal hops, oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Tasted late Dec. 2006.

Pour is a bright gold with a large white head. Aroma is decent with lots of yeast and spice. Almost saisony. Flavor is a bit weaker with some bready malts and a ok corriander citrus. Nothing much to this one although it is kinda dull tasting but easy drinking and nothing offensive.

@Ginger Man-on tap-pours a dissipating white head and yellow color. Aroma is floral, sweet grain, white grapes, alcohol. Taste is floral, sweet grain, white grapes, alcohol, yeast, metallic, dry. If an American brewery would seem “an OK effort” but…

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Cloudy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, grainy nose with generous amounts of grassy hops. Malty, grassy taste with notes of citrus (lemon), grain and serious doses of grassy, spicy, slightly citrussy hops in a bitter finish with an almost Dupontish touch. Medium body, really dry. Very nice and summery.

Good yellowish, very dense head over orange beer. Beatific, superbly hoppy nose, USA-IPA like, but in a more refined way. Gorgeous nose, to be smelled for minutes. Hoppy taste, with excellent (continental) hops, very intense, and slightly coloured malts with some faint restsugars. Medium bodied, fully carbonated, a bit slick; refreshing; Excellent beer - not that I would have doubted it, but one never knows.

(0.75 l bottle at VBPF08 on 2008-05-18) Amber colour and cloudy. White small head. Yeasty and fruity nose that contains some hop aromas. Surprisingly dry palate. Fruity and yeasty taste. Quite bitter. Some sweetness. Sweetness is quickly overrun by hop bitternss.
