Description
Welcome to the page of Brouwerij-Stokerij Pirlot. actively brewing and distilling quality beverages since 1998.

33 cl. bottle @ De Stroopop in Zoersel. Pours a blackish, Bordeaux hue, dark brown with a tanned head. Nose is fruity, dark fruits, blackberry & brambleberry, berries with some liquorish. Taste is fruity, oddly vinous (doesn’t seem to be infected as far as I can tell), red berries, sour coffee grounds, liquorish, dark fruits, blackberry & brambleberry, touch tart in the back, less full taste than expected. Faint touch higher carb. Bit odd esp. for a stout but not a bad brew overall.

Aroma has a yeasty background and a fruity tartness. Flavour is quite light but has a distinct fruity, perfume. Quite drying and bitter in the finish. Body is quite watery.

0.33l bottle from Etre. A cloudy yellow golden colored one with a nice big and lasting bright white top. The nose has a little bit of funky earth, pepper, dry paper and a hint of Belgian yeast. Not shocking or fantastic but fair. More earthy mineraley flavors. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a above average carbonation level. Yeasty flavors also with a almost carrot - herbal/spicy sweetness and some grassy/hay bitterness. Nothing to special really, but it doesn't taste bad in any way. Don't feel a urge need for a revisit though. 18.07.2013

(bottle, 33cl) Quite clear, dark and slightly ruby brown colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Mildly roasted malty aroma with notes of oat, powdered cacao, caramel and vanilla. Moderately roasty bitter flavour with a rounded malty sweetness, medium bodied with a slightly prickly carbonation. Moderately roasted malt-character with notes of chocolate, caramel, leather and traces of herbal hops; rather dry bitter and delicately sweet malty finish with roasty accents, chocolate and herbal spice. 08.X.13
