Description
Welcome to the page of Brouwerij-Stokerij Pirlot. actively brewing and distilling quality beverages since 1998.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a lacing white head. Rather perfumy hop aroma. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness and then quite some perfumy hops that leave a massive bitterness. A lovely hoppy Belgian - non yeasty. 120713

33cl Bottle from De Hopduvel, Gent. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of sweet floral malts, some fruity esters, hint of Belgian hops. Flavour is medium-sweet, floral, malty, light fruity, light hoppy, dry finish. Light-bodied, almost watery. Decent, but a bit boring as well. And no real sign of the promised hops.

Bottle sample @ VBPF ’13.

Bottle sample @ ZBF’13 shared with the RB Belgian. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kempisch Vuur Haverstout Reserva (3 Jaar Eikhouten Vaten) on 14 Mar 2018 at 10:00 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Bottle sample @ RBBWG Mar 10h. 2018, thanks Rubin77. BB 25/10/2018.

Cool find by Sebletitje. 2011 Vintage. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2013. Black with some mocha bubbles. Nose is sweet red wine, very vinous, sour bacteria, light berries, mocha & chocolate,… Taste is sweet mocha with souring bacteria, brett, sour red wine barrel, mocha, sour malts, very vinous, body is unfortunately a touch too weak to fully carry this but this is lovely still. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kempisch Vuur Haverstout Reserva (3 Jaar Eikhouten Vaten) on 11 Mar 2018 at 08:39 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Thank you Rubin77! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2018). Dark red amber, creamy tanned head disappearing. Nose is massively vinous, red wine, sour, roasted malts drenched in red wine. Taste is red wine, caramel, roast, body is bit thinned out sadly but highly delicious roasted malts, grain, low bread in sour red wine. Great Oud Bruin despite it being none of those things. Whatever unintentionally happened here, it’s delicious.

Clear brown beer, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: red fruit, red liquorish candy (rooie veters), sweet, sourish touch as well. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sour, bitter, tannins, red wine, citric, little weird, earthy. Aftertaste: sourish, red wine, tannins, some vinegar, little bitter, lemony, earthy, tobacco. Infected in the barrel?

Clear red purple beer, big aery yellow head, littl stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty sour, tannins, vinegar, woody. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, fruity notes, bit lemony, acidic, some dried fruits. Aftertaste: very fruity, red fruits, sour cherries, little bitter, more sour, very weird ending. No coffee, or mocha, or chocolate... very weird. Amazing how the stout flavours are completely gone.

Clear reddish brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, some lactobacillus, red wine vinegar, acidic, nice stuff! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very dry, funky, pretty sourish, lots and lots of lactobacillus, some acid burning. Aftertaste: lots of red wine vinegar, super acidic, fruity touch, actually a bit too sour, too acidic, but pretty nice otherwise.

Bottled. The most stupid name of a beer yet. A hazy dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, yeast, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrusy and spicy hops, malt, yeast, and fruits, leading to a dry yeasty finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
