On tap at Skep & Skein, pours an opaque dark purple-ish pink with no head. Aroma brings out black currant, dry apples and champagne. Flavour is very complex, with black currant and apples duking it out, along with champagne yeast and some funk. Really well-balanced and elegant. Excellent.

500 ml bottle. Pours a deep dark red with light head of big pink bubbles. Aromas of currants and apple cores. Flavors of currents, blueberries, and green apples. Nice balance between tart and sweet.

16.9 oz bottle. Aroma is apples, hot peppers (stings the nostrils), floral, soap, earth. Pours clear golden with a ring of white foam. Taste is very tart before extreme heat quickly takes over. There’s something off in both flavor and aroma that’s keeping me from enjoying this completely. This is really unique and I still want to finish the bottle even with the off-notes, though.

Draft - Sweet dark currents and cranberry. Clear red with a small pink head. Black currents, light tartness, some apple and super dry. Almost too dry.

Bottle - Cooked Apple, caramel and some light spice. Clear gold. Caramel, Apple, light Woody notes and a nice rounded finish. Really nice and balanced.

Bottle - Sweet Apple and peppery heat. Pale gold. Peppery heat, chilli and Apple. Not a fan of the combination.

[3/1/15] Draught at The Beer Junction in Seattle. Lovely dark red-purple color with a pink head. Aroma is kinda milky, vinous, with some currants. Nice sourish and slightly sweet flavor with apples, wine, lots of currants and a milky note. Pretty nice.

Bottle - Apple, cranberry and nice tartness. Clear deep pink/red with no head. Sweet cranmberry, apple and some floral notes. Nice tartness to balance the sweetness and a nice finish.

Sampled at Finnriver, pours a clear apple juice colour. Aroma brings out dry cacao nibs, along with pear liqueur and brandy. Flavour is insanely rich, with loads of cacao - wow, amazing. Elegant, complex, boozy and unbelievably drinkable. Amazing stuff.

Sampled at Finnriver, pours a clear apple juice colour. Aroma brings out apple brandy, liqueur sweetness and alcohol. Flavour is insanely liqueur-ish, with brandy, oak, and alcohol. Wonderful stuff - really complex and elegant. Sort of smoky on the end. Never had anything like it.
