Description

Bottle at level 42, thanks to Big Dave. It pours cloudy red - brown with a beige head. The aroma is toasty, earthy, wood, dull spice, leather, must and dirt. The taste is soft, sweet, toasty, big dose of liquorice, aniseed, toffee, dried fruits, leather and sugared plums with a slick, sweetish finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A touch sweet for my tastes. Fair.

Bottle shared in London / thanks to Dave. Pours clear amber with a creamy, tan head. Some Belgian yeast in the nose, toasted brown bread, toffee. Medium sweet flavour with we’d berries, grapes, brown bread, toffee, minimal bitterness. Medium to full bodied with massaging carbonation. Bucket balanced finish, with more toasted brown bread, Belgian yeast, creamy toffee. Quite enjoyable.
