Hand pulled half of a pint in my local Spoons on 9th October 2025. The last of 7 festival beers tried on the night. Dark brown body, beige crust. Very pleasant Stout, malty, rich and laden with a vanilla undertone within it's chocolate flavour. Nice!

Wetherspoon 2025 Autumn Beer Festival. Ale#6 of 26 untried possibilities at the fest. Not quite black, there's lots of vanilla in this one, in both aroma and taste, transfering as marshmallow in taste, and chocolate heavy in aftertaste, but a slightly boozy aroma.

Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized frothy tan head and good lacing. There’s vanilla, marshmallow and malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet, smooth and with a creamy texture. Vanilla to the fore again in the flavour plus roast malts and cola. A little sharpness and some chocolate come later leading to a slightly bitter finish. This is quite nice.

Cask at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival, St Albans, Herts. A deep ruby/red coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Sweetish, almond, cherry aroma & taste. Quite tart too. Not bad but nowhere near as good as the plum grand reserve.
