Cask at Rattle n Hum. Pours a nice orange-yellow with soft, pillowy white head. Mild aroma of earthy hops and some malts. Hops have mellowed a bit in the flavor, giving this beer an almost Pale Ale character. Medium body with light carbonation. Finishes with just touches of fruity bitterness and caramel malts. Pretty smooth and tasty.

draft at Indiana Winterfest - Pours black and has a rich chocolate malt aroma. The huge, bold flavor is of sweet chocolate malt, big hops flavors that try to keep up with all that malt, and some coffee notes. Great beer.

Sample from someone at HBF, thanks someone! Murky amber body. Malty, somewhat hoppy aroma, jam-like malty notes in the taste. As rosenbergh said, this wasn’t all that fresh and it showed in a way. I guess a rerate is pending.

I got to try it from some guy at HBF, so thanks some guy at HBF! Poured a hazy orange-red body. Apricot jam in the nose mixed with maltiness. More of the same in the taste, with not much else to speak about. Ok enough I guess, nice to have tried it.

Bottle, 75cl, at RBNAG -09. A clear, copper-colored beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Vinous, oaked nose with alcohol, hops and a pleasant resiny hoppyness. Sweet, oaked flavor with caramel. Warming and full-bodied, almost sticky feeling in the beginning, but drying up towards the finish. Bitter, resiny finish. A nice beer indeed, but it’s a bit too much in a way. 091108
