Purchased a 750 ml Bottle at Whole Foods in Tampa, FL about 3 weeks ago. The cork says it is a 2013 vintage? It sat around that long? Very dark Amber color without much head. The aroma is very herbal and yeasty. The flavor show a bigger yeast profile with tea leaves, mint and mild notes of alcohol. The bitterness is lingering and herbal. Body is medium with an unpleasant after taste. This could fair better if fresh. I thought I was buying a current vintage, oh well.

2013 cork. weird. Dark brown, golden orange, 1 finger head. huge cork pop. old beer...might be amazing? Smells like mint leaves and burnt malts and a lot of sugar. Tastes like chicken broth, mint, very bread-like yeast. Honey and some ginger. pepper. interesting. not really falling off that much.

750 ml bottle from Rare Beer Club poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Slowly forming gusher. Hazy deep copper/orange with 2-3 fingers of beige head. Aromas of Brett, plum and figs, stone fruit, slight caramel and tart fruit. Tastes of stone fruit, tart dark fruit, light Brett and tart notes, a bit of herbal. Medium body with a dry finish. Well masked alcohol for 10%. Gets better as it warms and towards the end of the bottle, possibly due to more of the yeast/sediment present.

Bottle at Churchkey shared with nate2g and some couple from Sarasota who hadn’t had it before. Hazy golden yellow color, white head. Nice aroma of funky apricot, peach, dusty grapes. Taste has dusty stone fruit and a decent helping of funk. Light body. Very tasty.

750 ml bottle purchased at Total Wine, Tampa. Amber borderline brown color. Aroma is huge hibiscus flowers, candied sugar, and some toasted grain. Body is a tad thin on this one. The hibiscus is mostly all I’m getting here. Almost a old lady’s perfume flavor. Pretty high level of carbonation, not really my style saison, if you call this that style.

750 ml bottle purchased at Total Wine, Tampa. Cloudy / hazy gold in a chalice. Aroma is all Belgian yeast, spicy, floral hop hints. Flavor carries over the floral character with the pepper in chamomile shows in the back end of he sip. Lively palate with the ABV not found anyplace. Rather nice drink.
