Old rating from 25-12-16 - This has been in my cellar for a year and was open today, Christmas Day. It pours dark brown colour with a beige head, which leaves lacings. Aromas of spice, dark fruits & hints of toffee. Taste also has spice, along with dried berries & dark fruits, cinnamon, toast & earth notes. The finish has a mild bitter end with grains, dark berries, cinnamon and hints of spice. Overall this is a beer that grows on you the further you get down the glass.

Old rating from 14-11-16 - A 330ml bottle from Marks & Spenser. Pours nice deep mahogany colour with a thin white head. Aromas of rye, caramel & hints of toffee. Flavour is on the sweet side, with caramel, rye, toffee, vanilla & hints of chocolate present. Mildly bitterness in the finish. Overall very good, better than the average M & S beer.

Deadication cider to Arthur Conan Doyle, who's books gave us one of the most iconic British literary sleuths in Sherlock Holmes, he was born on this day in 1859. From the mythical brit to actual British apple made cider, with the fruit potent, sweetish - allowing minimum bitterness - healthy enough tasting.
