Diep donkerbruine kleur met wat kleine deeltjes die er doorheen zweven. Een licht beige kraag met maar weinig retentie. Geur van bruine suiker, rood fruit, iets umami. Retronasaal is het zoetig, wat droppig, vleugje hout, iets boozy. Smaak is redelijk zoet met iets drop/salmiak en een vleugje bitter. Medium body. Iets warmend in de keel. Lange afdronk die dan weer wat koel aanvoelt (geen idee hoe dat komt), zonder nieuwe smaken.

A black beer, no head. Aroma of strong liquorice, spices, pepper, dark malt. Taste of pepper, strong dark malt, chocolate, toffee.

Deep brick red with a thin head. Sour cherry, light spice, deep caramel, prune, red fruits, raisin, wood, light vanilla. Full, slick body. Finish has a light twang to it. Very interesting and complex beer. A bit hard to pin down. Lovely.

Bottle at home. Opaque dark brown color, red hue coming through when held into the light, average sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, whiskey, distant grainy notes, some wood notes, decent to medium bitter. Lightly sticky texture. Solid beer.
