Description
After a great reception from his hobby as an enthusiastic amateur brewer, Toby Mackenzie and his wife Caroline decided to expand and go full time establishing the award winning Red Willow brewery in 2010. Their aim was to make the types of beer that they like - full of flavour yet easy to drink. Red Willow now offer a range of beers that can be found in many local pubs and shops in cask

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 16/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and forms a small pond. Nose is roast malts, molasses, liqourice, touch of chocolate and a little smoke. Tastes of roast malt, big dose of liqourice, leather and chocolate. Medium bodied, quite thick and oily in body, dryish in the finish. Ok stout.

Gravicask@Chorlton Beer Fest 2012. Tawny body with spare soapy head. Smoke, tobacco, anise and raisin aroma, with hint of charcoal, brown sugar and nutmeg in taste. Good one! (6.Jul.2012. Thanks for sharing Rune!)

Keg at BrewDog Bar Camden. It pours hazy golden amber with a small white head. The nose is orange, mango, apricot yoghurt, bitter grass and light spice. The taste is tangy marmalade, orange, tangerine, straw, floral, light spice, grassy edge, light creaminess and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A tasty, hop-forward, easy drinking pale ale.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. - Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear yellow with a light, white foam head. Dry citrus nose, some lemon, straw and biscuits. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate dryness, straw, biscuits, lemon, tangerine. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Clean finish, more straw and dry lemon, prominent pale malts, mellow biscuits. A very easygoing beer. A wonderful session beer.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. Clear orange gold with no head. Slight farty aroma. Golden ale . Not much hop not much interest. Below average.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a huge white head. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, lemons, and hops, leading to a dry finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is yeasty, greasy hops and grapefruity. Fruity, greasy and light bitter. Ends dry and bitter.

Botle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a cloudy golden with a dense and lacing off-white head. Rather greasy hop aroma. Medium body, caramel and fruit with a dry and bitter finish. Bitter alright but never all that aromatic. 301112
