On draft at ChurchKey DC. Pours a clear dark copper with a frothy off white head. Aroma of caramel and booze. Strong flavors of vanilla and oak. Heavy bodied, soft carbonation, strong boozy finish.

Bottle shared by Ken at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours black with orange glints and a tan head. Aroma of gingerbread and dark malt. Full bodied. Flavor is very gingerbread over smooth dark malt. Ginger sort of functions to offset malt. It is extremely tasty.

Aroma: The nose has some grapefruit, floral hops, grass, and some caramel
Appearance: Pours a caramel-orange color with a small off-white head and mild lace
Flavor: The flavor is dry and hoppy, not too much residual sweetness, finishes dry too
Palate: It has a medium body, a fizzy mouthfeel, and a pretty dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid APA. Pretty tasty, even if it wasn't one of my favorite things I've had from Hardywood, I still enjoyed it.

Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small brown head and some mild lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly sweet, coffee and chocolate, with some alcohol, and light roast
Palate: The body is medium, it is smoothish, with average carbonation, and a slightly sticky finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid, sweet example of this style, but I have found enjoyable ones that were this sweet before. Good stuff. Looking forward to trying the bourbon version.

750ml bottle pours a watery black with some cloudy, white head. Nose has a ton of wet raspberry, toasted bread, molasses, plum. Flavor has a ton of raspberry, toast, mild coffee, lots of jelly. Fruity finish.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark cloudy brown with medium frothy beige head that leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is roast, chocolate, and peppers. Thin mouthfeel with chocolate malt, light pepper and spice. Good.

12oz can pours a murky burnt orange with some lacing, white head. Nose is heavy on the concentrated apple juice, orange peel, some malt, some honey, mild soap, lightly floral. Flavor is similar, there is a very distinct apple concentrate flavor, almost like a Froot Roll Up, some orange, some soap, a little pine needle, malt, a little candy. Mostly clean, albeit lightly fruity, finish.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($5): Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is fruitiness, some spice, and some yeast. Taste is lightly bitter and dry at the finish. Nice easy drinking and well crafted Belgian Ale.
