Description
Yvan DE BAETS and Bernard LEBOUCQ meet each other in 2002, during the second edition of the Zinnekparade. Bernard had created the now famous ZINNEBIR for this unique Brussels event. However, it took another five years for BRASSERIE DE LA SENNE to settle effectively in the capital. In the meantime, the brewing activities were continued at friendly breweries. This bohemian existence came to an end on December 22, 2010, the date of the very first 100% Brussels brew!

Bottle Poures a light redish brown with a small faint off white head. Some spotty lacing. Light caramel malt aroma with some spiciness. Yeasty bread like flavor but spicy too like a Saison. Light palatte and a very lively carbonaton.

33cl bottle at Plan B, Copenhagen. BB 07. Pours cloudy to muddy orange with a creamy white head. Aroma & taste is full of hops, grass, fruits, citrus/grapes & yeast. The hops is visible all around. Fresh & nice hoppy Belgium! Re-Rate: Moeder Lambic 2014 Januar: Incredible fresh, smooth and dry. Hops and mild yeast. Really lovely beer. 3,8 - 4,1

Bottled. Hazy golden colour with small white head, which lasts for quite a bit. Leaves nice lace. Aroma is earthyness, mild notes of sour fruits, wood and yeast. Flavour is very much sour fruits, yeast and some wooden hints mixed in. A wellbalanced brew which does the "sweetish sour" thing very well. Refreshing.

Very dark, creamy brown head. Pine on chocolate aroma. Milk chocolate, with coffee ground notes to give it a bitter edge. Medium to light body. Wellagered sparkly. Chocolate and pine aftertaste.

Bottle: Poured black/brown with a light white color head very thin. The aroma is malty and harvest. The taste is roasted at first but not overwhelming, very balanced with a gritty hop finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Hazy, amber golden with a dense and lively, off-white head that leaves some lacework. Fresh, lightly spicy, floral aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation. Notes of sweet fruit and caramel and a somewhat astringent, herbal and very bitter finish. 120108

Bottle courtesy of Steph: Poured an hazy dirty beige color ale with a huge pure white foamy head with perfect retention and lacing, there probably was still foam in my glass 30 minutes after the pour. Aroma consists of a well balance mix between oak and tart with some green apple and some very light horse blanket. Taste is quite sour with load of oak and some tartness. The yeast from the original Belgian ale is still identifiable and provided an interesting complexity to the mix. Full body with limited filtration and some great carbonation. I have to admit that I was truly amazed by this beer and it definitely surpassed my expectation. It is too bad that I will probably never see a bottle of this again.
