Light red/pink pour with a large white head. Aroma is spectacular tart cherries with some subtle oak, and earthy wood aromas. Light barnyard aromas, slightly funky, and a touch it stone fruit. Effervescent carb, with a lively mouth feel. Crisp, and tart, and extremely refreshing. Loads of cherries and light vanilla and wood. Bright, and fruity, an incredible beer.

Murky reddish pink pour with a slightly pink head. Aroma is obviously a lot of raspberries with a good dose of tartness. Great sour mouth feel, loads of raspberry goodness. One dimensional really, but it’s really quite good. On party with a good Belgian Farmhouse tart fruit beer. Well done.

(2023 750ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours lightly hazed medium gold with a tiny but stable white head and some lace. Aroma is heavily herbal with a range of boreal gin aromatics, feels like some dune pepper, a bit coniferous, woody, light lemon and underipe pair, bit of spirit volatile character. Flavour is dry up front and juicier later in the sip before drying out again, mix of lemony citrus and pear, peppery herbal aromatics, feels like dune pepper-forward to me again, moderate wood, subtle horseblanket/hay funk, some lactic acidity but certainly not sour. Finish is heavily drying and that's when the 8% shows, spirit warmth (gin!) and herbal astringency, wood, soft funk, lingering fruitiness in behind. Peppery herbal aftertaste. Medium-bodied, lightly oily, soft but prickling bottle-conditined carbonation. No hiding those gin barrels here, which I like! Certainly doesn't end up drinking like an Espinay. Lovely complex interplay of base beer and barrels. Les Herbes Folles is a stellar gin too, and that comes through here. Beautiful beer.

Belle réussite du brasseur encore une fois... En bouche, on aurait dit un mix de Saison et de Pale Ale. L'astringence m'a surpris. Le nez est surtout boisé, avec des fleurs et du foin, et une petite impression de savon. Super sèche en bouche...

Bottle: Poured a light pink color ale with a large white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of cherry and tart notes with light funky ester. Taste is also a mix of cherry notes with some tart notes and light funky ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable cherry sour beer but not as complex or flavorful as expected.

Nice little sour with some smooth cherry, light lactic notes, not their best.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some funky easter and some vinous notes with some funky notes. Taste is also a good mix of tart notes with some funky ester and some vinous notes with light honey notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Interesting saison/wild ale with a nice level of complexity.
