Started brewing as West Berkshire Brewery at the Pot Kiln, Frilsham, Yattendon.
We create well-balanced and flavourful beers. Employing traditional techniques and championing British ingredients, we have a range of beers and styles that showcase the very best of British beer. We have won over 45 awards since we started brewing in 1995.
In 2021 the brewery was rescued from administration by Yattendon Estates and the name was changed to Renegade Brewery.

Cask (Alehouse, Reading) - Golden in colour. Blackcurrant and some earthy notes in the aroma. Crisp and moderately bitter taste with blackcurrant and some citrus.

Cask, hand-pulled half pint in the Barley Mow, Portsmouth: lunchtime on 12th March 2017. Golden amber body, full white head. Got ’Cinder Toffee’ in my head and decided this beer smelled and tasted of it. Really liked it too!

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; pretty dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has some toffee along with bits of chocolate.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Sour dough aroma. Darkest brown. Thin beige head. Sweet. Caramel. Chocolate. Nutty. A nut creme truffle. A sour milk creeps in. A hint of bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Soft. Creamy textured. Long low key finish. To sum it up: yum.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 27 Nov 2016) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Really tasty and well made stout. Very nice.

500ml bottle from Stallholder’s own stand at Good Food Festival NEC - Ruby brown body, lacing off white head. Nose of toffee and malts. Taste is malts, toffee and some earth.

Keg. Somewhere! Light haze on this gold - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Mild banana ester. Orange peel. Some floral bitterness and very light tropical fruits. Dry finish. Decent.
