Description
six°north was established in 2013. The concept was born in Belgium when founder Robert Lindsay fell in love with the country’s beer culture and tradition. He soon returned to north east Scotland to start brewing his own beers, six°north of Brussels. We make modern, artisanal beers that are driven by Belgian brewing tradition and inspired by modern brewing practices.
Our beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. We brew classic Belgian inspired beers, as well as modern, hop-forward styles. We also release a number of collaboration beers each year with other breweries.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo shop. consumed at home making Spaghetti Carbonara, Thursday 21st July 2016, Pours dark gold/light amber with a clean white head atop. Wonderfully zippy, spicy, nostril tingling aroma, fruity also. Soft in the mouth, thick mouthfeel, warming from the alcohol, spicy but as Loz describes it has a Saison feel about it (a beastly Saison mind!) This is a jolly good beer, thoroughly enjoying this, a nice twist on year standard DIPA. A8 A4 T8 P4 OV16 4.0

Keg at Waterloo Tap. It pours hazy bright yellow gold with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bread, straw, grass, floral and a touch spice. The taste is smooth, grassy bitterness, pretty mellow, straw, floral and plenty of white bread with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Very refreshing stuff.

Keg at Redchurch - London. Pours quite a murky orange with a slim, white cream head. Tangy citrus in he nose, light spice, grain. Light to medium sweet flavour, lightly salty, with tangy orange, biting salt. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, with moderate acidity, slight mustard, more ripe and tangy citrus fruits. Enjoyable beer.

Keg at Redchurch. It pours cloudy amber with a tiny, fizzy effervescent head. The aroma is earthy, musty, barnyard, cereal, stone fruits, cheesy tang, damp leaves, granny smith apple, white grape skin and cracker. The taste is rich, wood, earthy, funk, crackers & cheddar cheese, lactic tang, apple, stone fruit barnyard, light spice, damp leaves and lemon peel. Medium body and fine, lively carbonation. Proper bonkers stuff. Plenty of depth and character. I rather like it, but this is not for everyone!
