Bottle at Farmhouse Festival Vancouver, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out soapy hops and a touch of rustic notes. Flavour is well-balanced, with rustic farmhouse more and light hops. Decent but uncomplex.

Bottle at Farmhouse Festival Vancouver, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of earth and a touch of rustic Belgian yeast. Flavour is bizarre, with earthy notes, dirt and perfumey notes. Hard to think this was intended. Earthy and nail polishy on the finish. Meh.

On tap at Farmhouse Festival Vancouver, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is complex, with lots of Belgian yeast, biscuity and crackery malt. Flavour is funky and yeasty, with barnyard funk, cereal sweetness and Belgian yeast. Complex and wonderfully balanced. Excellent.

Bottle: Poured a hazy light yellow color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry funky notes with some floral hoppy notes is pretty enticing. Taste is a nice mix of dry Bretty notes with light funky yeast and some floral hoppy notes with light residual sugar notes and a subtle peppery yeast finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Refreshing beer with just the right amount of complexity.

Bomber from La Trappe à fromage. Pours a light golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and a little lace. Beautiful Saison aromas with the Belgian Ale yeast and fresh grassy hops blended with the citrus notes. The hops are a little stronger in the taste adding some bitterness in the finish. The grassiness is mildly different from your typical Saison, but gets better with time. Hints of earthiness and citrus. A hoppier Saison, which is fine if you prefer this.
